Conference on Taiwan’s Security and Domestic Politics

April 21-22, 2022
Virtual
Hosted by the Center for Taiwan Studies at UC San Diego

This conference, hosted by IGCC, Center for Taiwan Studies at UCSD, and the 21st Century China Center, and featuring IGCC expert James Lee will examine the history of the Taiwan question from an interdisciplinary and international perspective. As tensions rise in the Taiwan Strait, issues like strategic ambiguity and the One-China policy have generated considerable debate, but they originated in a vastly different historical and strategic context. Whether these policies can continue to help maintain stability in the Taiwan Strait is a vital question for the international relations of the Indo-Pacific. This conference is closed to the public.
