Where Is North Korea Going? A Roundtable

After a brief period of hope around the 2018–19 summits between North Korea and South Korea, the United States, and China, relations on the peninsula have once again grown acrimonious and tense. On Feb. 13, a roundtable of prominent North Korea practitioners and analysts dissected the state of play around the Korean peninsula. They considered opportunities for a return to diplomacy, the status of the U.S.-South Korea alliance, and the state of North Korea’s missile and nuclear program and its ventures into cybertheft.
