Christopher Manes Bacon

Christopher Bacon is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences at Santa Clara University. As an environmental social scientist, he is interested in deepening and diversifying a dialogue about interdependent society-nature relationships. His dissertation poses an interdisciplinary approach to assess smallholders’ vulnerabilities and opportunities for sustainable rural development as the global coffee industry restructures.
