Dotan Haim was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2015-2016. He is an assistant professor of political science at Florida State University. He studies comparative politics and international relations, with a focus on conflict, policing, social networks, and Southeast Asia. His dissertation argues that economic and political conditions shape the tradeoff leaders face when deciding whether to incite fear and strengthen societal divisions.
