Edith Sheffer

2003-2004 Dissertation Fellow

Edith Sheffer was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2003-2004. She is a historian of twentieth-century German Europe, a senior fellow at the Institute of European Studies at UC Berkeley, and a prize-winning author. Her dissertation explores the creation of the Iron Curtain over half a century between two adjacent German towns, Sonneberg and Neustadt bei Coburg.
