Henry Maar
2013-2015 IGCC Dissertation Fellow
Henry Maar was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2013-2015. He is an instructor in the history departments at UC Santa Barbara and California State University, Northridge and has also taught summer sessions at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His teaching and research interests include the history of politics, diplomacy, peace, social movements, the Cold War, popular culture, technology, and the 20th century more broadly. His dissertation uses the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign of the 1980s as a case study allowing us to measure the role of public opinion on foreign policy and questions of peace and disarmament.
