Idean Salehyan
2005-2006 Dissertation Fellow
Idean Salehyan was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2005-2006. He is a professor of political science at the University of North Texas, Executive Director of the Peace Science Society (International), and the co-Director of the Social Conflict Analysis Database project. His research interests are diverse, but most of the time he focuses on topics related to international and civil conflict, international migration, and politics and the environment. His dissertation is on the causes and consequences of transnational insurgent/rebel activities for both countries affected by violence as well as international relations between states.
