John Porten
2019-2020 Dissertation Fellow
John Porten was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2019-2020. He is a research manager at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. He specializes in conflict, fragility, peacebuilding, resilience, and local political development. His dissertation considers the role of civic organizations in rural Nepal during the country’s ten-year Maoist insurgency.
