Kathryn Baragwanath Vogel

Kathryn is a Harvard Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, and also an affiliate with the SoDa Labs at Monash University. She received her PhD in political science from the University of California, San Diego in 2021. Her research focuses on the political economy of natural resources and the environment, with a focus on Latin America. Her dissertation explores the effects of international commodity price cycles on political corruption in places that receive windfalls from commodities.
