Kathryn Baragwanath Vogel

2019-2020 Dissertation Fellow

Kathryn Vogel was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2019-2020. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, San Diego in 2021. Her research focuses on the political economy of natural resources and the environment, with a focus on Latin America. Her dissertation explores the effects of international commodity price cycles on political corruption in places that receive windfalls from commodities.
