Lina Newton

Lina Newton was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2001-2002. She is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at Hunter College. Her research specializations is American politics, public policy, minority politics, and immigration policy. Her project explores how U.S. immigration policy communicates which migratory populations the state can absorb, and which require restriction and regulation.
