Lisa Blaydes

2004-2005 Dissertation Fellow

Lisa Blaydes was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2004-2005. Dr. Blaydes is professor of political science at Stanford University. Her research interests include comparative politics and international relations. Her dissertation argues that the authoritarian regime in Egypt has endured not in spite of competitive elections, but, to some degree, because of these elections.
