Lisa Stampnitzky

Lisa Stampnitzky was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2005-2006. She is a lecturer in politics at the University of Sheffield, where she teaches on terrorism and political violence, human rights, and international politics. Her dissertation research suggests that terrorism expertise defies common sociological expectations about the development of intellectual fields, which tend to presume a teleological model of development in which areas of knowledge either move towards institutionalization, or fade away and die.
