Ming-chieh (Jason) Kuo

Jason Kuo was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2014-2015. He is an associate professor in the department of political science at National Taiwan University. He works on globalization and governance across an array of emerging issues, including food and drug safety, environmental sustainability, maritime security, public diplomacy, as well as epidemic control and prevention. His dissertation argues that China, among the other foreign governments, let the FDA in to borrow its credibility in domestic consumer protection that can increase an individual American consumer’s willingness to consume food products imported from China and thereby boost her agricultural exports to the US.
