Ricardo Lopez, an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2002-2003, is a lecturer in economics at Northeastern University. He is a PhD-level professional, economist, researcher, professor and consultant, with more than 16 years of experience conducting empirical and econometric analyses on applied microeconomics, trade and technology, trade and finance, public policy, energy and the environment. He argues in his dissertation that productivity is directly determined by the export orientation of the firms.
