Robert Brown
2005-2006 Dissertation Fellow
Robert Brown was an IGCC Dissertation Fellow from 2005-2006. He is a full-time writer and parent, part-time teacher and student of martial arts. He was a scholar and practitioner of international politics, focusing on the use of international organizations to facilitate cooperation, in particular in the areas of nuclear nonproliferation, disarmament, the peaceful uses of nuclear sciences. His research interests were motivated by a desire to understand the practices associated with political behavior in these areas and ultimately improve collective outcomes. His dissertation analyses the cooperation problems confronting prospective nonproliferation cartels in terms of the threats proposed by each of the WMDs and cost of information required to confront and rollback that threat.
