Shulamith Deborah Kang

S. Deborah Kang is an associate professor at California State University, San Marcos. Her current research focuses on the relationship between law and society along the nation’s northern and southern borders. Her dissertation is a comprehensive history of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and its operations on the U.S.-Mexico border from 1917 until 1954.
