Join us on Wednesday, November 18 from 1:45-3:00pm at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy for a conversation with Kai M. Thaler who will discuss the key insights found in his new book from Cornell University Press, When Rebels Win. Drawing on evidence from Africa, Latin America, and Asia, Thaler shows how wartime ideology can shape statebuilding, public institutions, and postwar governance.

Kai Thaler is an assistant professor in the Department of Global Studies at UC Santa Barbara and an IGCC affiliated researcher.
