The New Great Power Competition

Great power competition has returned to the global center stage. The characteristics of this new rivalry, primarily between the United States, China, and Russia, but also to a lesser extent with other emerging power centers, will be very different from what took place in the twentieth century. IGCC’s work on great power competition in the 21st century aims to enhance understanding about competition in security, technology, innovation, and strategy; economic strategic rivalry; global supply chain dynamics; and the role of domestic politics and great power competition.
